How VAASAM started

VAASAM was created from a desire to see Tamil stories, memories and culture reflected more meaningfully in fragrance. So much of scent is tied to home, flowers in the air, fruit ripening in the heat, incense, celebrations, family homes and places we carry with us long after we leave them.

Each fragrance in the VAASAM collection has been carefully curated and chosen to evoke a feeling of familiarity, with memories of Tamil culture interpreted through scent rather than replicated literally.

Our aim is not simply to offer perfume. It is to create a moment of recognition, a scent that reminds you of somewhere, someone or something you thought you had forgotten.
